Apple Cider Vinegar
Distilled Water
Baking Soda
Spray Bottle
ToothbrushMake a paste using the baking soda and warm distilled water. This one is flexible just basically ‘eyeball’ the portions making sure to use less water than baking soda. Then mix 1 cup apple cider vinegar with 1 cup distilled water and place into a spray bottle.
The apple cider vinegar and baking soda clarifying rinse is awesome for cleaning scalp and hair. Some people like to place all the ingredients in to a spray bottle and spray onto hair and scalp. However, I prefer to make a paste with warm distilled water and mix with the baking soda. After placing my hair into four sections, I then take a toothbrush (purchased specifically for this purpose) and gently scrub my scalp using some of the baking soda paste. This cleans away any dandruff at the scalp and gives it a nice massage.
After this step is completed, I take my spray bottle prepared with apple cider vinegar and distilled water. I spray this mixture all over each section making sure to carry it through the hair as well. I really enjoy the tingly feeling and ‘sizzle’ sounds this mixture makes once the vinegar is applied. Once all four sections have been cleaned I follow up with a nice moisturizing shampoo.
